Hey All

I'm planning on waiting in line to get a wii tommorow, and thought i'd bring my ds lite. I don't have the biggest of micro sd cards, and am trying to conserve space and get as many games as possible. Question is, what does the "trim rom" function do? Will it help trim rom sizes? Or what else could i do to save space?

I'm gonna take a gues and the trim rom does that. Trims the rom. It probably just removes useless/unneeded data that the supercard does without, making roms a smaller size.

Yea trim rom trims off the "fat" on the rom padded in to make it a multiple of 2 as in a 45MB rom adds useless filler to become the 64MB you get.

Kirby64

Same as what everyone else is saying, it gets rid of the unneeded junk space in the ROM.

However, take note, there are a few games that don't work with trim rom, so make sure they work before you go trimming them all.

Some games will crash when they are trimmed. Better check the compatibility list before trimming.
