Hi. I had the idea a while ago of running a service where I run a live webcam and chat feed between me and the world, when I had a new flashcart, so people could ask me to try a specific game for example, or tell them if the card feels like it's made well etc...
I've never had a card to try it out with before, but I got my R4 today and I'm getting a M3 Simply soon, so this is a perfect time to start!

Event Finished! Thanks to everyone who came, I'll run another of these on Saturday after I've got the new firmware, so hopefully games will work better then.
The things we found out from our first experiments:
DSO Blue = Not work (it doesn't even load)
DSO Grey = Not work (it loads but says the device is not compatible)
DSO Green = I havn't got a clue, my MicroSD card decided not to work...
The Castlevania intro plays really well, until it freezes... But I do have a cheap and crappy memory card...

Come join in! Ask me some questions about the card!

Hi

What time a Saturday?

Also, do I need to have a webcam in order to ask you questions?

nah, it's pretty cool.

you go onto a webpage and whilst the video is streamed you can use the chat client beside it. you might want to use the enlarged version.

i'm building up the courage to ask sam for a striptease

sam, that was really a good idea.  very nice.

next time I hope more people take advantage of seeing it in real time, and watching you test different aspects.  A++

So would you say the R4 is better than a SCDS??

Just wondering since you've tested it and stuff.

For future R4 card users: If you're gonna use the DS Web Browser, create a save file when the system asks for it (you'll understand when you get an R4). At first, I didn't ask to create a save file and got white screens for my foolishness.

Anyway, sinkhead: I can't get the built-in media player to work. When I access the built-in moon shell, all I see are my directories. No files, no nothing.

ZAF, I sent you my shell folder like you asked but I had to RAR it because GMail checks ZIP files for programs and if there's programs inside it won't send.
Also, in reply to PharaohsVizier it was a live feed, I didn't record it (but I can if you like).

Does anyone have any requests for what time I should run it tomorrow?

Awww cmon sinkhead, I wanted to see it, and I'm not in ur timezone!

Canada huh... Hm
When I ran the cast, it was evening in UK and about midday in Central America.
I'll try and give more notice for this one, so people can set aside time to come and join in (hopefully).

Gleasonator's magical helpful hint #1:

When sending compressed files through Gmail, just delete the file extension and inform the receiver, or change the extension to ".changetozip" because that is pretty self-explanatory.

Good point! HOWEVER the MIME type would still be ZIP and GMail probably uses that to determine whether or not to check it.

Actually I have sent many .zip's as .changetozip's with applications in them they workd fine. All Gmail checks is the extension.
