hey i just got my supercard mini sd, and my supercard in the mail today.
games work fine, but i'm having a hard time saving

i know it's L+R+A+Select, but it doesn't work
i've tried it multiple times, but it still doesn't save my progress
am i doing anything wrong/ need to do something else

i believe a menu is supposed to pop up, and ask if you want to save
i haven't seen that yet

Are you asking about DS games? For DS games you save the game when the game your playing ask you if u want to save (normal saving). The L+R+A+Select is ONLY for real time saving of GBA games.

ok, well for example i'm playing mario kart ds
i win a cup, and it doesn't ask me to save because i believe it's supposed to save automaticaly

when i turn off my ds, and turn it back on, it says i didn't beat it :S

Do you have the .sav file in your mini sd card?

If the DS game has been patched, it will save automagically. But you have to patch it properly.

yeah i have .sav files

how would i know i if i need to patch it?

also, when i'm in the supercard program,
it says NO under the save spot for all of my ds games

You have to patch every game.  For DS games, it will always say NO under the save spot since that is only for GBA games.

You just add them to the supercard program, select your options, then press out.

Are you using the latest firmware and patcher? The firmware is v1.7 and the patcher is v2.58

yeah i always do that
i know i just updated my patcher today, but  i'm not sure about the firmware

how would i check the firmware?

Turn the DS on with the supercard in while pressing L and R.  Then keep pressing A to get to the firmware version.

ok i have version 1.63, so i should update it

i will go check the supercard site to see if i can download an update

ok i have 1.7 now
i'm going to try it out and see if that fixes the problem
