I tried installing moonshell 1.5 on my SCL but when i launch it, it gave me "critical error!! CPU halt for safety"

I heard there was suppose to be a patch i have to put?

Also i downloaded the premade file from the moonshell topic. that didn't help either.

PS. I got SCL chinese firmware 1.7

Does one of the later versions of Moonshell work for you?  After 1.5, there's 1.51, 1.6 finalfinalbeta0, and 1.6 finalfinalbeta1.

1.6 b4 worked for me when I last tried it on my SC Lite.

JusDaMan, the premade i posted worked for me on my sclite (US version). I am at a loss to help as i cannot try it out again, as i am at work without the dslite.

for me, the 1.51 works fine, you can even select sc lite as output, which runs fine

You have to patch the Moonshell file with 'Moomshell patch'

1.51 runs on my SC Lite (with English 1.70 firmware) just as it is.  No patching needed.

Are you familiar with the DLDI interface?  Try patching the Moonshell file with http://mdxonlinemirror.dyndns.org/resources/20070101_dldi_scsd_ver10_20070101.zip which is reported to work on SCLites that normally fail with DLDI homebrew.  Note that only reading works at the moment - writing crashes.
