PharaohsVizier.

If you unflash... yes, you will not be able to use the DSLink. I on the other hand have a few cards (R4, M3 Simply, EZ-Flash V, SCDSOne) that can be used as a slot 2 passme boot device. So I am OK yo unflash if I wanted. Plus I have 4 DSLites too. So I'll keep 2 Flashed and 2 Unflashed.

Yea I understand that...  I am unflashing someone elses so I can conduct download play tests on his DS.  :)

Gotcha. I am mostly using my Unflashed units now. If I need to use my DSLink... I load up one of my other slot 1 cards, boot into slot 2 and then use the MK4 dump and switch out to the DSLink. Yes it is a pain, but I haven't been using my DSLink lately now that I have the R4, M3 Simply, EZ-Flash V.. Not using my SCDSOne either... don't think it is all that great yet.

Which one is better in your opinion EZV or R4?  I am basically set on buying the R4 (after I find some money under my couch), but then I always loved the EZ Flash products and it seems half decent, it is still in my mind.  What do you recommend?

I would say... R4/M3 Simply. So far every game (including recently released stuff) has run perfectly. I have yet to get a game to that doesn't work with them. But, it does concern me that there is no patching software for it at all... maybe I am just going through patching withdrawl now that they don't use them.

As for the EZ-Flash V... it is a good piece of hardware. To me, it is what the SCDSOne should have been. Again... it runs everything I throw at it (including the new stuff) and it has more options (Saver Size, Card Speed) too choose. It also has patching software and that puts my mind at ease. The only downside so far with it is that the Boot Slot 2 doesn't work with the Supercard Lite. You have to use Lovelite to boot slot 2 from it.

So for straight drag and drop and ease of use... go with the R4/M3 Simply. If you want more options then go with the EZ-Flash V.

I just wish the SCDSOne was a more stable card. It is such a pain in the butt to use that I have given up on it.
