Hmm, so basically, there is no way to use the touch screen and set my own desktop...
I guess thats what i deduce when i can't find the supercard top screen bmp anywhere in the scshell folder...
Maybe i will wait for further hacks to the software...

Thanks onekelly...

basically, SC devs have compiled their logo into the shell... so we'll need the sourcecode to change that, which we'll never get.

Bummer.  I find the top screen logo distracting.

Isn't the source available for download?

That's just the code to read and write to CF/SD cards.  It won't help as far as modifying the menu.

i found out two things during playing around:

1)
you can extract the MSFORSC.NDS
and it gives you the following files:

arm7.bin    48 KB
arm9.bin   607 KB
banner.bin   3 KB
header.bin      1 KB
y7.bin    0 KB
y9.bin    0 KB

so somewhere inside these files must our topscreen background been hidden. but i have no idea what to do with these files. ;)
so, any hackers here, please step forward...

2)

if start your DS with your SCDS1 you get in the filemanager
press B once and you should see two folders:
IMFS/ ImplantFilesystem ver0.3
MPCF/ SuperCard DS

inside MPCF is the content of your microSD
but inside IMFS is some sort of virtual drive
because these files in there are not on my microsd
(there must inside the above files from the MSFORSC.NDS)
and under these files is the one file we are maybe looking for:
sclogo.b15
i bet this is our topscreen background

but again, from here on i'm again clueless.
how do we get it out?
what fileformat is b15?
how do we get it back in?
so, any hackers here, please step forward...again... :D

Nothing for b15 on a quick Google search, but I'm sure I've heard of it before...

Quote from: "NTolerance"Great work guys, keep 'em coming.  Anyone up for making a dark skin?
Ouaf is a very minimilastic "Dark" skin to use under a Supercard DS ONE.  It has been tested to work on OS v2007.01.20,... Enjoy !!

P.S. : Ya, you are reading my 1st post.  Still, I've been reading the skinning threads of SCDS1 for a couple of days now and this is what I came up with.  No screenshot, savor the surprise! ;)

Do you think if i change my desktop.bmp to sclogo.b15 and overwrite the original file, it can work?

onekelly

Only way to know is to try it. Please post your results, many are wanting this changed!

when you click on the middle of each controller the menus will come up

edit global.ini
[System]
SCMenuSaverX=9
SCMenuOtherX=75
SCMenuOptionX=140
SCMenuHelpX=219

edit Language.ini
delete the saver, other, option, help text in each so it looks like this
menusaverstr=
menuotherstr=
menuoptionstr=
menuhelpstr=

b15 file is an original image format designed by moonlight.
to create b15 file, use "png2b15.exe".
(included in glib or source of SCONE)

and sclogo.b15 is zlib compressed into IMFS(ImplantFilesystem).
use "IMFS_CreateBin.exe".

you should edit IMFS_CreateBin.ini and add the following one line.

*.b15=zlib

glib ver 0.1

libIMFS ImplantFilesystem ver0.3
