Kingston Memory models for SC DS One

I would just like to point out that there are apparently two models for Kingston micro SDs "sdc KR" versions seem to be the ones made in Japan.

I have both by coincidence a 512 SDC-KR version and a 1GB SDC
Can anybody confirm this? I've been around the scene for a while and I have never seen a post about this.

well im going to find it out tom.

i bought the SDC/1GB(i just ordered it).
i also bought the 1gb corsair(<-- too slow dont buy it!!)which i have right now.

if u look at the pics of SDC/1GB it says made in japan
im not sure about this because the letters in the pic are kinda blurry.

I just got the SDC/1GB and can confirm that the package says it's made in Japan.

I did some testing with this microSD card and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I had the SCDS auto-detect the SD speed (it set it at 30X). I then tested the Castlevania intro movie and it was very choppy. Is this normal?

sorry guys but it seems that the 1gig kingston in newegg that they sell is randomly choose.

i got the made in taiwan... and i wasted $20 again.

i got mine today and tested it,its the same thing its too slow.

I am using a 1GB Kingston I just bought (made in China) and so far works great.

As far as I know, the Kingston's aren't made in China proper. When I was in China, they all told me that they were imported from Taiwan, as Mainland China doesn't produce the Kingstons.

Formatted in FAT. Speed setting at 1x, never had a problem loading or saving. Do you mean Portrait of Ruin? If so i'm afraid I don't know as I don't like Castlevania, however I would be willing to test if need be.

Would everyone here care to point out WHICH kingston they purchased (UPC) and where it was made?
