QuoteNinjapass is identical to the Ultraflashpass. The software is identical and can be used on either product.

The ultraflashpass sucks!  its way too expensive for its small, single rom, crappy compatibility ways

gbatemp's review is very extensive and detailed.  http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=45180

but remember, it was only posted recently, after Hi asked for a review.

O woops, I was looking at kkan's post time.  Sorry Hi

I've heard from many people that this is a great card.

In that review over at GBAtemp, you can see all the roms he tested it with. And every single one of them passed. The card looks just like the DS-Linker(interface wise), and that card plays every single rom I've thrown on it also. Including PoR, without one single problem.

So you know you're getting a great card. It may not be as popular as the R4 or M3 Simply. But you know you're not going to have to hunt around for the right kind of microsd card to play that certain game, at full speed, with no hang-ups.

I think internal memory flash carts are the way to go. I'm probably going to pick one of these up myself. I liked the review quite a bit. The reviewer is very impressed by the card. Even stating that card stands among the slot1's top tier.

So that statement kkan quoted from some poster around here, he obviously doesn't know what he's talking. I'm sure he hasn't even tried the card. He's probably just going by it's popularity.

kkan isn't referring to the Ultra Flashpass EX, the N-Card clone.  He is referring to the original Ultra Flashpass that was a piece of crap.

Wait one minute, so the ultraflashpass is an N-card clone? I thought it was a card that could mimic a real nds card, just like gba flash cards could and most nds flash cards can't. Did only to origanal ultraflashpass do this, or is the ultraflashpassEX AND the N-card cards that can mimic real cards?

Haven't read the gbatemp revew yet. Will.

Ummm the Ultra Flashpass EX is the DSLinker, Fire Linker, etc clone.  The Ultra Flashpass is the piece of junk that everyone who bought it got pissed.  Neither the Ultra Flashpass EX or the Ultra Flashpass can mimic real cards, they all have menus.  The Ultra Flashpass had terrible compatibility, practically no support for homebrew and overall, 0 patches.  The Ultra Flashpass EX didn't get much reviews yet, however, the GBATemp review seems to point out that it is a decent card, or as the guy above quoted "slot 1's top tier".

Hi

Hmmm... we really need a nds card that CAN mimic real nds cards. Problem is that everyone wants removable storage.

Mimicing a real nds cart would mean implenting a single saver chip. And since there are multiple saver types, the cart wouldn't be compatible with every game. And exactly why would we need such a card? I can only think of improved download play, which isn't that exciting.

PharaohsVizier

Ummm Action Replay support is tempting.

Hi

One would think that a kind of nds flash cart like this would

1. Have support for all roms (with maybe a few saver problems, I'm SURE one could find a way to get around this.)
2. No updates needed
3. Would be great for homebrew developers
4. Would be simple to use
5. Is that enouph?

Well no duh Hi, I mean why don't you just ask for the perfect added that it has to cost nothing.  I think the carts coming out now are doing pretty well.

Ooops, now that I reread it, you're right. It wasn't about the EX. My apologies.

Yeah, the carts now are doing pretty well. Just the ones that have external memory, I wish you didn't need to search for a certain type of memory card, to run every game. Because since there's one or two that doesn't work with every type of microsd now, there's bound to be future games that will give the same problem.

I think these internal memory ones, are about as close to perfection as we can get for slot1's right now. The interface may not be as nice looking as some other cards, but at least you don't have to worry if a game is going to work or not. And that's all that really matters.

I put in my order for the 2Gb UFPEX. 2Gb's of space is all you need. You really don't need anymore. So upgrading to more memory really won't be an issue. And the only fault I can see of this card, is the download play. Which I don't really care about anyways. So I'm really hyped for this card. I was either going to get this, or the 2Gb DS-Linker. But they're both the same card. So I thought I would go with this one. I"m almost positive I'm going to like it more than my R4. As long as every game runs, at full speed, at it boots my slot 2, that's pretty much a perfect card to me.
