So, do you still need a matching save file size for nintendogs?  If it's got saves like the GBA (key combo does a save on the CF/SD card, but doesn't use the real game save), then won't nintendogs still freeze when you try to buy a dog unless you have the correct size sram in the DS slot?  Or am I missing something, is that fixed?

This is good news.  I'm rather pissed I forgot to bring my DS (and my cell phone) to work today, but I can wait.  Looks like it is such good news that supercard.cn is getting overloaded and won't even come up!   LOL

So now that the new firmware is out...I wonder what people will whine about now.  "wah...Crystal Engine"  "wah...slowdown" "wah...new firmware" "wah...the M3 is better".

As you mentioned, I stick with the supercard CF because of the size.  The M3 and GBAMP drive me nuts that they stick out so far.  Plus I can just leave it in the DS and it will still fit in my carrying case.  Sounds as though this update gives me a better excuse. ;)

Kudos to the Supercard team!

The patcher is a bit tricky. You have to go into the properties (double-click) of a NDS ROM in order to set it to use CF/SD saving and loading...but once you set both of the options to CF/SD, then it works like a champ.

I thought something was seriously wrong until I started poking with the software.

freat advicce thx

I didn't needed to do that, the roms saves/load without problem doing the same thing in the patcher that the old times, so it's maybe differ from the pc.

It will only reprogram in GBA mode.  take out the DS cartridge and superpass if you have one in

Spooky

Mine upgraded fine in NDS mode.

I've been using NDSPatcher on 1.5
Can I still use the roms and saves from that on 1.52? And can I use NDSPatcher still? I really like NDSPatcher, it hasn't failed me yet.

NSDPatcher roms dont work for me with the new firmware im pretty sad as thats the only way I could get certain games to work like Fifa...

Thanks. I just updated. Has anyone gotten 0080- Nanostray (U) to work? In all 3 NDS patchers I've used, it doesn't work.

Hey all,

I've been reading the comments here and most seem to be about how the upgrade affects the DS.

I have been using the SuperCard with my GBA SP, and I was just wondering if this update was necessary.  I read that the 1.5 update was mainly for the DS users, and that it was not recommended for the GBA users.  Does the same go for this new version, or should I go ahead and upgrade? :?

Thanks,

Brian

If you only play GBA games theres no reason for you to upgrade.

Well, after a load of testing, I can announce that this new firmware truly SUX BIG TIME.  Games freeze for no apparent reason, games that did work no longer work.  The only good thing is the load time and game saving.  However, that isn't good enough.

I hate to say it, but I don't think any firmware updates will be for a long while, and therefore M3 looks like the better more compatible option at the moment

Phantom

You M3 guys suck bad. Each time you can find a tiny silly reason to post something negative, you grab that opportunity.

Well, if that's the spirit of the M3 lovers, I wouldn't really develop the desire to join that elite of whiners.

And just in case you weren't simply bashing SC: A lot of games that didn't work do work now, I do not experience freezes nor does the vast majority of posters on various sites. Old roms that did work can always be used in the old format. You're low on info, apparently, or like I said, you're simply bashing. SC is pretty great IMHO.

Dude.

Yes, of course. This new firmware is the worst thing ever.

Every game I've tried so far works perfectly, loads instantly, saves like a dream. So..I love it.

I have ordered the G6Flash and will be getting the passme with it, I will try the games that did not work again then. I think the software and FW work great. I did not get the supercard to play NDS games, I was looking for a way to play e-books,NES and GBA rom. Yes there is some slow down, but the fix for it is to pay more money, this is not an option for every one. Supercard team did not have to work on making the FW for playing NDS. He could of sold another unit like GBA Movie Player has (M3). I have the GMAMP 2 ver do you think I will be playing NDS game on any time soon? I don't think so
