The brighter screens would be nice, but I'd rather not have to worry about this hinge problem.  Or the FlashMe complications.  Or the new wifi chip that doesn't work with older homebrew.  Or the GBA-cart-stick-out aspect.

Have to agree with you there on the PHAT, decision thats THE #1 reason I bought PHATS as opposed to LITES for my two kids they rough handle everything   :?  ...they are a lot tougher than the lites in most aspects  


well thats my theory anyway lol

g/f has a PINK lite so will be keeping an eye on the hinges to see if theres any signs of cracks appearing .. alls well so far after about 4 months seems fine

... but its usually a case of sods law with technology breaking or failing the day after the warrenty expires for me .. example ....my SE mobile joystick broke 1 day before my warrenty ran out ..fortunate I got it replaced gratis

I bought mine at launch, and amazingly it has no crack.
I need a replacement though, the GBA port is really loose and it's cracked there from me trying to press it back. It's not noticeable though. Also, it's not really too scratched but enough to bother me. AND also (lol) the hinge is really loose. Like Phat loose.

Danthueman, couldn't agree more.

I drop my dsphat all the time. Litterally. Once I was in the mall. I jumped up really high because it was fun and I'm just like that. MY nds fell out of my pocket and slid very far on the hard mall floor. I was worried but my nds looked fine. I don't think it was even scratched.

Now did I have a light, I'd have been in trouble correct?

I'm convinced that my phat won't break. That doesn't mean I'll throw it on the floor to test my theory or to make a funny youtube video, but that's why the phat is good.

Is nintendo still selling phats??? They should be. I'm just glad that I have a phat. If I had a lite I'd have no nds by now.
