Hi guys!

I started playing Pokemon Sapphire on my DS and I've got 6 bagdes now. Yesterday I recognized that I can't catch some of the most stylish Pokemon like Lugia and Typhlosion ;-) so I tried to play my GBA-save on my PC, VBA 1.80 beta 3.
There's a quite big problem... To play Pokemon you have to change Flash 64k -> Flash 128k but my GBA-Save is 64k so I can't continue my savegame! Is there a possibility or do I have start a new game on my PC?

Thx in advance,
Eagle

Try using save converters such as g6 save converter with max2sc to convert your VBA save.I'm not sure if it will work, though.

Thanks, but I want to convert my SC save to a VBA save.
I have already looked for some converting tools, but I did'nt find the right one :-(

You could try just padding the savefile with empty data up to 128 KB, though I'm not sure if it will work.

How do I do this? By just adding spaces?

dantheman

One way would be to open it in a hex editor and add a single byte of "FF" to the end, then using the command-line gbafix.exe program to pad it up to the next power of two.  GBAfix can be found at http://www.darkfader.net/gba

Have you tried changing the save types in VBA?

Options -> Emulator -> Save Types -> (selections)
\__/) This is bunny. Copy bunny into your
(o'.'o) signature to help him gain world
(")_(") domination.

That's the point, tdtd. Pokemon Sapphire only works with Flash 128k ~.~
atm I'm not able to try dan's solution, I'm formatting my hard drives... But I'll try it this evening
