I was a happy boy when I spotted something about a month ago about the scdsone supporting action replay.

Anyone heard anything since? Was gonna buy a slot1 to accompany my ez4 (which admittedly hasn't been very compatible with ds roms of late) and using cheat codes would most certainly seal the deal.

I'm guessing it's gonna come with the next firmware update.......whenever the hell that happens. Aint had an update in  over 2 months

Ooo... Sounds like they're a-brewin us some cheaty-goodness over in China.

How does the SCDSone perform anyway? I might hold out and get an m3/r4 if that line is better. I've always trusted supercard I guess.

I really don't wanna be messing around with savers and things like I did with the ninja thing I had.

supercard is just as compatable as the other slot-1s but there have been reports of faulty units and manually adjusting saver size may be a bit annoying (although it doesn't bother me much)

Yea, and as long as you get a decent SD card then the performance is equal to anything else out. And manually adjusting the save size of newer roms is not nearly a hassle as the R4 fanboys like to point out.

just set the default to the max size just like what the r4 apperantly does.. worked for me..

I was reading Moddz's review of the new revised Supercard DS ONE and he mentions that there is a third mode mentioned in the manual with support for goldfinger and real time strategy guides.  I'm guessing gold finger is 金手指, which is the cheat system GBA carts used.  It wouldn't surprised me to see it as the DS Link seems to have a working version of it, just not released yet.

Hi

I have a supercard ds one and love it. I don't own an R4, but I honestly have a bit of trouble immagining it being better than the R4.

That said, I would reccomend the scdsone over the R4 because of my trust for the supercard team. Some people are saying they have dropped report for the older slot-2 supercards, but I dissagree. There simply hasn't been a need for firmware upgrades. Why do we need updates that aren't needed.

That said, the supercard team has

1. Never dropped support for any of there cards.
2. Has been around a lot longer than the makers of the R4
3. Doesn't lie or insult other cards like the M3 team.

I say, go with the supercard ds one.

The 1.7 firmware broke QPC saving for many users.  I would like to see this fixed so I don't have to use one of several workarounds.

Quote2. Has been around a lot longer than the makers of the R4
The R4 Team = the M3 team = the makers of the GBA Movie Player.  They've both been out for about the same time.

Do you have proof to back up this claim?

Not trying to discredit you, just asking for further clarification.

I support the R4 and not the Supercard DS ONE.  I really hate the Supercard DS ONE, as the one I received was faulty, and even then there was a lot of trouble with the build quality.  The R4DS is brilliantly made, and when I emailed their team, they seemed to be fairly nice, and generally really wanted people to be satisfied with their product.  As well, they have the M3 team's software to back them up as well.  2 teams are better than one, especially when one of them is the M3 team.

Actually, this is wrong. The M3 Team just buy the cards off the R4 Team and get the code for the firmware updates. As far as I know this is as linked as they get.

Oops, I had thought it was the other way around (R4 buying from M3 team).  My apologies for the wrong info.

It used to be on their old website. They had a comparison chart up with positive stuff about M3 but negative stuff about the "Other cart".  Back then the Supercard was their main competition so it was clear a shot at them.

Me neither, I'm usually too lazy to look up the saver size on the internet, so i just set it to 2M, and it works nicely.
