nullDC v1.0.0.0 Beta has been released and is bad ass. Just got done playing a few DC game at a full 30fps with full sound and no noticeable graphic errors. The new emu is going the N64 route and is plug in based though it worked with the standard plugins just fine for me. Their site is now down so I cant figure out how to get my XboX 360 controller working on it yet (im sure it will require a controller plugin) so I had to use my keyboard. Their site is here: http://forums.ngemu.com/nulldc-forum/87533-nulldc-v1-0-0-public-beta-1-a.html

FINALLY a DC emu that works!

Is this really real or a late April Fools joke? :D

Perseid

I haven't tried it yet but I looked at the archive and it certainly looks real, and I've read people saying it is, but it needs a Dreamcast ROM and I haven't bothered to find one yet.

Well I'm installing now....will report back with my findings

Findings: Well this is indeed a DC emulator....a GREAT WORKING emu too. How did you get your 360 controller working? Mine doesn't get recognized.

DeVS

No im 100% serious, I tried it myself as stated above and it truely is amazing. I knew there were some promising Dreamcast emus out, but this one came out of no where and kicks all ass. I forgot to mention my pc specs, I ran it perfectly fine on an AMD Athlon 3200 with an ATI 9600XT and 1gig of ram.

has any one tried marvel vs. capcom 2? If this works 100% with it I would be SOOOOOOOO happy.

Naw bro re-read my post, I couldnt get mine working either. Im guessing were gonna need a controller plugin.

CONFIRMED....100% speed and sound lol. I hope they add gamepad support soon. If you want me to test anything else out just let me know.

sonicwind

now I just have to figure out how to get it to work........ I used to get it on chankast but I just used daemon tools to mount that and it seems you can't do the same thing now.  Can anyone help me? I have a .ccd file(2kb) a .img file(742MB) and a .sub file(30MB) and the program only recognizes .cdi

Lemoe

Cool, do you need the files on your computer, or can you just put the discs is the drive and run them from there?
That would be great lol

Devil_Spawn

so how would i go about "dumping" my dreamcast bios?

DeVS

Here is the flash and bios you will need. Don't forget to rename the bios from dc_bios to dc_boot.

Lemoe you can't use disc yet only image files off your hard drive.

Actually you can :) That's what I've been using. You go to Options. Then Plugins. Change the GDRom plugin to SCSI Passthrough GDRom plugin. After that, go to Options again and select GDRom. A box will popup. Just select the drive letter of your cd/dvdrom drive.

I tried nullDC last night and it worked pretty well with the games I tested. I noticed some visual glitches and sound pop here and there but otherwise a very impressive piece of work. Looking forward to more updates and plug-ins.
