A clever DS-cronym for Descent. Descent, greatest first person shooter ever.... er, of the 16-bit era. Until Descent 2.

More details: One of the first first person shooters (if not THE first) to be able to move in any direction. The setting is in a large base on another planet (I think, memory is fuzzy) and you are in a small spaceship, so you can move up down, left right, forward backward, etc. Levels were usually insanely large, and there were tons of hidden areas, powerups, and ambushes from hoards of enemies. There's a wide variety of enemy ships that have different characteristics, like one that is small, fast, and steals your weapons.

YES i love this game so much...i had a demo on the first computer i ever bought and i played it to death. amazingly fun although at first i had no idea what the controls were. i remember shooting the flares at enemies because i didnt know i could shoot lasers. really looking forward to this..

You have to buy the game and use the files from the installation. The shareware files will not work.

One could just do the same thing many of the people on this forum do with modern nds games.

NOBODY PM ME ASKING FOR 1.5 PIG AND HOG FILES! ...Nobody. Stop it already. REeeaAAAaaalllyyy... Because I will not, and have not already (and have them awaiting requests) uploaded them someplace. So don't even bother.

BTW, the game works perfect with R4. Just played up to level 6... no maybe... yeah it was level 5. Unfortunately then it crashed... Ah well, it's a glitch in an alpha. Unfortunate filesystem error on EZV.

New version's out, works on all DLDI flashcarts, but sometimes crashes at the beginning of "new robot" briefings and save/load game doesn't work for everyone. Greatly improved controls and many glitches fixed though. At the rate this is progressing, save/load and the briefing crashes will be fixed in no time!

On my DSLink it always crashes before i can beat the first level. Usually the textures vanish and it just freezes a second later. Gutted
