Every year I go out to an island for one week to camp there. There's no power, so once the power for the DS runs out, I can't play it anymore. Does anyone know a cheap way to solve this problem.

P.S I play when it's dark out (just in case you were thinking of bashing me for playing DS when I should be enjoying the sun).
My Music

Nearly all of my songs are made with Fruity Loops, except for one where I used Reason. I recommend looking at my ambient stuff, and staying away from old songs, which are pretty crappy.

Is it a regular DS or a lite?

For either you could buy more/larger batteries and take a few. But for the old ds you can get  a solar panel charger, i dont know if that what you are looking for, but it would give you charge without a power source? Im not sure if they made them for the lite or not...

By the way, i have no idea how well this works!

for the lite you could get something like this

3x standard battery (but makes your ds twice the size lol) but thats relatively inexpensive and may be enough for what you need.

Ive also seen chargers that just run off aa batteries, but they wont give you much alone i wouldnt of thought.

If you have a lite, id say that second link is your best bet, you get the regular ds battery, a larger battery and all the AA batteries you can carry lol.

I've got a Lite, and I must say, that product looks pretty awesome. On another note, do I have to give my phone number to be able to create an account with them ? (Thanks for the link by the way :) )

Do a google search for the DS solar charger.  I KNOW such a thing exists....

That would definitely work for your unique situation.
Current setup:
Onyx DSlite/R4DS/SCminiSD
2gig Transcend card for the SCminiSD
2gig Kingston for the R4DS
4 gigglingbytes of games/apps! WOOT!
