You need to add your primary network connection to the bridge. That's the whole point of the bridge.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Bight is nott to good...

if you have lot of conectios..

delete your brigder ( its a pain to configure )
unshare your internet conection

just desactivate all conetions

keep only the internet conection and wifi ...

then share again you internet ...
the wifi card should be automatic configured to 192.168.0.1 .. this should work...

but if there is another crd with this Ip.. you must change.. leave this ip to wificard!

I have the Encore card, and the only thing I see wrong is him needing to add his WiFi connection to the network bridge.

It works :D I just dont need to create new profile, default profile ( <A_SoftAP> ) have good settings. I dont need do bridge anything (In this profile I can`t do it also I can`t add WEP or allow only my DS MAC Addres). I think this is reason :

Anyway thx guys  :)

Thanks for the little blurb on setting up the Encore card m2pt5, helped alot since AP for a laptop is going to be all this card is good for, for me at any rate.

note to self, dont order stuff from EBAY seller "powsupply*com"; false auctions and lies blatantly in emails.
- I asked the guy before buying if he was selling the old/discontinued "ENLWI-G-RLAM" (as listed here) with a RaLink chipset or the new "ENLWI-G" with the M chip, he replied "It is the old one."

Got it today, and it is not the RaLink chipset. Its a ENLWI-G not a ENLWI-G-RLAM. Gonna have to send it back, probably at my expense, and not have a card again :(

Now, if I had gotten it to use as an AP I would have been happy, because the method m2pt5 describes works perfectly. Unfortunately, I got a wifi card to use wifi with DS homebrew (much simpler and less hard on the hardware itself than swapping out the SC, then SD, then back again every time I want to boot something Im working on - as well as being able to test GBA MP builds before releasing them without a GBA MP)

My advice if you are looking for a RaLink chipset: do not get the Encore card unless you can physically look at it first   :(

Necromancer

I have a problem, the ds recognizes the wireless card but when i try the connection test it tells me that he can't obtain the ip address.....
Anyone can help me? :(

Necromancer: from my very limited experience with wifi, it sounds like your wifi card is not bridged properly, and its not getting an IP assigned to it. (check by double clicking the little system tray logo that looks like 2 montiors for it, it should tell you what the IP is under details, if its 0.0.0.0 or anything that isnt 192.168.*.* then something is setup wrong) - I had the same problem though, and I did a system restore to just before I installed the drivers, reinstalled the drivers and used the marvel app to setup the bridge instead of doing it myself in network connections and it worked properly.

It also seems to me that the other marvel card user, krz has the same problem, did not add the LAN to the bridge so the IP address and subnet mask are probably random as well as the default gateway not getting set.

Hello,

I'm happy to see that it exists a way to make work the USB Wifi non official key, I've downloaded the Gigabyte drivers then looked for the "Soft ap mode" which is not present. I learned after that soft ap mode only worked with Windows XP like the Official USB KEY !!! So what the fuck ? Is there a way to play online with Windows98 ?

Thanks.

(I have an Asus 167g Usb key)

I get an error board when trying to "allow other network..."
I'm using a moded version of Wdows, where many services where disabled, and could not figure which one was used to do the trick, or even IF the services had anything to do with it... could somebody help me?

windows PNX v2.0
Linksys    WMP54G v4 *french version
PSP 2.01 & 1.5

SolidSnake

here it worked fine.

here is what i did:
1. installed the wifi card with the ralink driver
2. swithed the card to AP mode
3. OK on the screen that appears (dont need to change anything)
4. go to my ds - wifi
5. i set an ip myself to the ds. since my wifi card is 192.168.10.1, i set the ds to 192.168.10.2.
6. at DNS configuration, you place the same ip from you wifi card (in this case, 192.168.0.1)
7. go to my dialup connection config (yes, i play FINE with dial up)
8. Sharing, allow sharing with: LAN CONNECTION 3 (choose what is the name of your wifi connection, here my ETH0 is Lan connection 1 and the wifi is 3, dont know why i dont have a number 2..) This is for Windows 2000, in XP you dont need to configure the name of the connection.
9. wait some seconds
10. go to ds, test connection, works
11. play :P

I got no ds game using wfc but im planning to get but i must be sure that it will work... but i have problem.

While doing all that is in instruction i get the problem on
"Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"  i click that and then ok but i got error :

"While turning on this option accured error. That service doesn't exist or isn't installed" (I translated it from my language so it might sounds a bit diffrent)

Wtf ? ... what i have to install ffs ;/ btw i have Windows XP prof ver 2002 sevice pack 2 - if not installed i think it's something with Windows...

Is it possible that my wirless net provider turned off ability to share my connection?
