Hi,
Recently  I  upgraded firmware (1.01) and to the latest  (2008.07.18).  Now MOST of my games will not save.  I get messages in most games I have tried that the save file is corrupt  eg:
super princess peach
animal crossing
Zelda phantom hourglass
New super mario bros
nintendogs

one or two games do actually save :
Professor layton
MySims kingdom

Also. the real time save doesn't work (i have never seen it working) and the reset just crashes the machine!
Nothing I do - reformatting  - changing micro SD- loading the new 'ndsinfo'- seems to work.

I am now at my whits end.  Any help getting the games to save would be very much appreciated.
thanks in advance. (the card is 2 months old.. should i send it back?)

(EDIT) is FAT32 supposed to work.. I could only get it working with FAT ?(/EDIT)

you say your cart is two months old which would make it a V3 & you say you updated the firmware to 1.01

i think thats your mistake as you cant use the firmware update of the V3 it was made for the V1s & V2s

Thanks for the heads up.
I must have received and older card.  To tell the truth I have no idea how to tell the difference in the versions.. I just know that this one is a white one and the old one I had before this was the black type.. and here in was my problem!

Here is how (after all weekend messing) I got a fix and it was completely my fault!!! (no suprizes)
Having had an older card for a couple of years I always made my backups by using the rom output software (2.57 I think was the last).  This would make a '.nds' and a '.sav' file in an 'OUT' folder.   When I got this new card I was just putting those same roms on this new system and that was my problem.  I was unaware that I didn't have to use the supercard software anymore, and that I could just put a clean rom in, and it would make its own save files.

what got me thinking was that my newer games ( the ones I  had since I receiving this new card) worked, and I didn't put those through the rom patch software.

I short the older games made with the software were not saving on the new card - fix= just get a clean rom and put that on.

warm regards
