Is there anyone that found a way to get the new ScummVM v0.5 for the DS (the one with CD audio support!) , playing with CD sound on the Supercard SD yet??

I know that the drunkencoders say SD isn't supported yet. but did anyone else allready recode the source or so??

And what is the big hastle to change the CF to SD in ScummVM?
I would think they just have to point the interperter to the SD writer/reader in the SC instead of the CF address. or am i wrong??  :?

I hope ScummVM will run on my SC SD soon ,with CD sound.
I have all lucarts games original overhere... can't wait to play them with full sound :)

Peace // J.

Ps.is there any way to play games like , Leisure Suit Larry 3/5/6 on the DS yet??

No version that works on the SD afaik. Patience is a virtue :) At least SD owners can play NESDS, as it does not work for the CF version. Each SC has it's ups and downs...for now. I'm sure everything will work with both in due time.
Nintendo DSi
Nintendo Wii - cIOS38 Revision 12 (and more)
Madden PSP Slim v5.00 M33-6

Dudu.exe

on next release he probably will use sabe fat driver as moonshell.. and probrably it will work on sc sd!

Great !
i just cannot wait...checking the boards for a news update at least twice a day :)

Linus has been experimenting on gbadev as have I, when you compile with the new fat driver it works but you get echos when people speak.

EDIT: Heh, sorry Linus, was really late at night

Yoko99

Echoes...hmmm.well, that is progress...
Last time I tried Loom CD, the speech worked fine, BUT the only pb was the audio track> It being one whole big trak for all the audio lik one hour long.
This track, ScummVM handles fine, it plays dialogue at the right moment.
But not on DS. It seems to only want to play the track from the very beginning each time a dialogue line is supposed to come up.

So there, not sure what causes this, really....am sure it is obvious to you guys tho, lol

masterX

the release might be earlier than you think agentq sais he knows how to fix the echo problem and that 'hel be on the case' so after he fixes the echo problem he will be able to release it to the SD users

I have two questions about this release:

How can I save? I created a sav file, and still everytime I start the emulator it is clean :P

The other: way is the stylus so inaccurate? I have to tap below the emnu items to activate them.

I know it's a beta version, but maybe this helps to make it better.

I don't think Linus is responsible for any touch screen inaccuracies you encounter. To save, try QPC saving method or editting the save path in settings.

Linus

yeah i really havent coded anything in this, i just put the new fat in that works with SCSD, so i cant really help you with touch screen accuracy.

apprently there are different bits of touch screen code that work better / worse on different ds'. what was the acurracy like with the previous versions?

oh and if u have a screen protector take it off.

I remeber someone mentioned that the touchscreen code that is currently being used is not accurate, they found a piece of code from some game that provided much more accurate touchscreen use

karurosu

Yeah, I read about it. The accuracy is pretty bad, but I think the problem is on the other part (the touch code) Maybe you can implement the new code?.
Otherwise, the emulator is great, I wanted to play Monkey Island 2, and it run fine, but I still can't get to save (I modified the save path, and done QPC, but when I load the Emu file it won't load the settings :( )
This is the post that has the code (ripped from meteos) http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?p=65914#65914

I hope it is useful.
