I've just ordered a Japanese White DS. Not sure what firmware it will be but I have also ordered a SD supercard and Passme2 (with programmer).

Ok have read on the different firmware etc but I basically want to have the flashme firmware on my DS so I don't need to have the Passme2 sticking out of my DS everytime I play a rom on the supercard.

If my DS has older firmware will I still need to flash the Passme2 for a specific game (like what you have to do if you have one of the newer DS's) before I can install the flashme firmware or can I just plug it in and flash once I have the files I need copied on the SD card.

I have downloaded the flashme.nds firmware and have also seen one called flashme_stealth.nds from the info on the website I downloaded them from it says that the stealth one will leave the warning screen intact. What does the non-stealth firmware display if it doesn't display the warning screen ?

Also if I install the flashme.nds is it possible to flash over it with the flashme_stealth.nds firmware and vice versa without damaging my DS ?

Think thats all the questions for now but I'm sure I will have some more later !

cheers for your help guys !

- You can use the passme2 in "2" mode or flash it with a suitable "passme1" image - both methods work on older firmware - the latter is the most simple though.

- Normal flashme simply "fades in" instead of a H&S warning. Yes you can install a different version of flashme / stealth flashme / uninstall it safely simply by running the correct flashme.nds file - no risks..

instead of flashing a specific game file there is a flash file for older firmware ds's. its the first option in the reprogram software simply called passme1
