Hey Mavis let me know how the buttons are. The buttons look bigger on the Lite (which is a GREAT thing) but the D pad looks smaller on the Lite,lol. Let me know if the buttons are bigger. Thats about the only complaint I have about the DS is those damn small buttons.

the D-pad is smaller and sharper, the buttons are spring-loaded, thicker and with an improved shape, while, finally, the Stylus is now longer too.

Will do, and I'm glad you liked them. Gave me something to do during my five hour wait, anyway ...

I'll try to sit down with this thing sometime this afternoon to see if I can a) run the SC in DS mode, b) dump the firmware, and c) possibly even FlashMe it ...

Your gonna risk flashing it with an old DS firmware? I think I would wait till they come out with a specific Lite firmware, but that's just me!

By the way you have a really nice website, I enjoyed looking at your pics from Tokyo, it's so beautifull! Is it true that almost all the food over there has eggs in it? even spegatti and burgers? Off topic I know...

you are a hero.
I have been looking at your pics and for a moment I felt travelling with my immagination as I was part of the waiting game....only my trip didn't require to wake up early and hunt down a DSlite for 5 hours without even the chance to answare mother's nature call......
I am glad you did it,  and thank you for the pics.
But I think MAD2X is right, until a new version of flasme specific for the lite will come out I wouldn't risk to flash your firmware, although you should be able to put back the old one in case of truble, but it's still a risk.
