Here is a real  Chinese Translation ... Sorry to say that some translation above means exactly the OPPOSITION ....

内核软件更新内容:

2. 解决0239,0276,0283等等一些NDS游戏GAME OVER后白屏的BUG.部分WIFI不能问题修正
Problem fixed for  0239 0276 0283 and some other games. Some games hangs while game over, it is now fixed. Also FIXED PROBLEM  for WIFI not working for many games. ( like  Tetris and Contact )

3. 增加了与GBA联动的功能,如果运行NDS游戏时发现同目录下有同名的GBA游戏,内核会先装载GBA游戏,以实现联动功能(例: 0094.dsq,0094.gba,那么0094.dsq与0094.gba会实现联动)
You can now enable GBA linkage. It means when you have a NDS game  that require some GBA games inserted into the GBA slots to  have some enabled (like Castle vania GBA + Castle vania NDS to give a rare  ring) , it can now be  emulated.
For  example, if you have  a NDS converted rom 0094.dsq and  would like some GBA game to be loaded simultaniously, just rename your converted GBA rom to 0094.gba, then the .gba will be considered as inserted into the GBA slot.

Well, this freezing after Game Over screens sure had more priority!

I'm happy with patcher 2.52 and 1.61FW on my SCSD, yay!  :D

There was no errors when I tried to upgrade the firmware.

I downloaded the 1.61 FW. The file in the rar archive has the extension .scu (other upgrades have been .bin). When I boot supercard, it cannot see the FW upgrade, in GBA or NDS mode. There is no read me file, I have done FW upgrades on my SuperCard before, is there something obvious I'm missing?

Well I use the englsih Rom for Anilam Crossing... but can't get WFC working :/

Darn! Animal Crossing patched with the new patcher gives me troubles, lockups into black screens and extremely sluggish intro screen?  :?

I'm using the settings

Trim Rom
Restart
Faster Play Game

Save & Rom position = SD

What am I doing wrong?

(no need to post this everywhere in the forum, dude)

Weird. I had the same problem !
I've tried to put in a folder and I couldn't see the file anyway. It was on my 1Go CF Kingston. Then I tried on a Lexar CF and, since it's a .scu file, it boots up on the upgrade menu directly.

Still, I can't figure out what's the problem...

Although he probably won't ever read this: ROMMAN THANK YOU!!!! I don't care for any other issue but the Tetris wifi option. You fixed it and I am for the first time since I've used this WIFI thing totally glued to my DS. THIS is what WIFI was made for. This is better than all the other games that work with wifi.

So thank you thank you. It made my precious DS even more precious and wonderful...*sigh*

Anyone else notice that the problem with naming the GBA and NDS roms the same name is the fact that it can't read the save data? (the DS and GBA games both use the .sav extension, so DS games that not only check the header but read data from the GBA save file could be a problem. Not sure if there are many of those yet at least.

Still this is very interesting development. I honestly did not expect a feature like this to be added.

I can see that being a problem but have you tried to manually load the correct GBA save before launching the NDS rom? It would be in SRAM when the NDS rom loads - however I believe that will still be an issue as it would check the SRAM for the save which would then get overwritten by the NDS save - so I suspect this would always be an issue where it needs to specifically check a GBA save but at least it's something to try.

Bust A Move and Resident Evil (US Roms) no longer crash with the new update. I am assuming the other region versions of these roms would work 100% as well.

sneef

crash?  are you talking about after dying?  that's already been established...

Yeah...I'm having the same issue. All other firmware updates were. bin files and this one is a .scu file and the file doesn't appear in my list. I tried switching to gba mode to see if it appeared in there and can't see it. I am using firmware 1.60 currently. Should I rename the scu file to bin? :?:  I don't want to risk screwing something up.

Haoie

Seems like there are still some problems, especially with file extensions of the FW.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
