interesting...

i had the blown fuse problem with a ds phat and a lite. both of them had F2 blown. but im not that great at soldering, which is evident through the fact that when i tried to solder a wire across on the phat, i burnt off part of the battery port with my solder ><
so i simply put solder over F2, tested it with a multimeter and it could turn on ! i did this with my lite as well, and while both are fixed, there is still a slight problem with the lite-the bottom screen flickers like crazy. ive never had that before, and i think its because the battery i use is non-genuine (i lost the original one.) would there be any ideas to this?

I've seen this, but haven't worked out what the cause is.

I think it's something on the board since I've seen the flicker (more like strobing) on both screens in sync. It's probably a resistor or connection gone bad, or interference.

I did find that turning down the brightness helps.

hmm...thats an interesting theory about the bottom screen flicker. i don't care too much about it, its just that it never happened when i had an original battery, with flashme.....before F2 blew, at least.

oh well...

i might open it up again when i get it back from my friend..
