Bricked DS Lite + Reciept = NEW DS Lite

Bricked my DS Lite while trying to flash it with flashme. Packed that mofo up and took it back to Walmart and got me a new DS Lite,lmfao! Even got an apology for the inconvience,lol.

hey man i was curious how you bricked it coz i opened up the battery cover and saw that the other screw is seprate from the SL one. any comments that will help me flash my lite easier will be greatly appreicated.

Have no clue. At first nothing was happening but I left the screw driver in there, then it went to 4% and sat there for a few mins, then powered off and it was game over from then on. I have flashed regular DS alot (atleast 7) so I knew what I was doing, just went to hell quick. With the new SueprKey and Passcard 3 theres really no need for flashme so im gonna just buy a SuperKey and be done with it.

Same as using a regular DS cart to use sleepmode with flashme.

Alright. Hmm. Then it may not really be worth flashing anymore really. Yea you'd not have to keep the passme device in anymore and look so bulky, but....*shrug* I dunno.

what actually causes the bricking...loosing contact with the SL or hitting that other screw coz from my view of it that screw is out of reach from the SL

I didnt come close to the screw. Mine just went to 4% and then turned off. I had it fully charged AND pluged into the power outlet. 3 people in the chat room bricked there new lite tonight,lol. Ohh and Superkey and Passcard 3 don't stick out at all, there 100% the same size of an orginal DS cart so you can't even tell there in there.

i just can't see how you'd brick it unless you lost contact with the sl..is that the problem loosing contact?

I had contact when mine turned off. I used a small screw driver that fit snugly in the hole. Like I said this wasn't my first DS to flash, this DS Lite is a diffrent cat. MANY other have succesfuly flashed there DS Lites though, it's just a gamble you have to decided if it's worth taking. My suggestion, KEEP YOUR RECIEPT,lol. I didn't have a single problem taking mine back to Walmart to get a new one after bricking it. Places like GameStop might be a little more wise though then the people at Walmart.

If you dont have money to buy a new one and arent 100% sure you cant return it I would 10000000% say DONT RISK it and get a Superkey. I mean damn the Superkey does MORE then flashme and dosen't stick out of the DS at all.
