I have a new DS lite, a supercard SD, and superpass 2 special edition. The supercard works fine, but once I insert my superpass 2 se, with metroid hunters demo, the screen goes white after the intro.  I connected to my pc, programmed it with version 2.0, and copied the .gba and .sav files to my supercard.  Did the procedure, (turned on w/out the superpass 2 inserted, read the .gba files, got the "sram" message, power cycle w/ the superpass 2 in).

I know the superpass 2 SE works, cause in my old DS it's fine.  My firmware is 1.62.  Any help anybody?  I have no clue what else to do.

Have you got any other games? I've heard about problems using the Metroid demo....

shynepo3

No, i don't, but i will go rent some and try it out.....any other suggestions?

shynepo3

hey ratx, isn't the metroid demo on that list? twice?  doesn't work?

bitblt

I don't have superpass2 se, but I flashed both of my NDSLs using Metroid Demo and superpass2.  It should work.

shynepo3

maybe the special edition is messed up?  anybody able to get the SE to work on a NDS lite?

JerseyMonkey

I was one of the people having trouble with Metroid demo.

It worked fine after I learned how to program my SuperPass.

Try holding abxy on boot to see if that works. Also, make sure your demo is USA matching the flash data.

shynepo3

hey jerseymonkey, do u have a superpass 2 SE, or just a regular superpass 2?

i tried the abxy thing, didnt work.....i'm going to rent one game later, so ic an see if it works......anbyod suggest a particular game????

JerseyMonkey

I had Special Edition.

I made sure my DS said USA on the back, and flashed it with the first Metroid Prime.

Then I took out my SuperPass, ran the .gba file, and popped in my superpass, rebooted my ds, and it worked. Also, try tossing the SuperPass switch back to the center, because that may affect it.

shynepo3

when u say you flashed it w/ the first metroid prime.....:::

you did the whole procedure of connecting the Superpss 2 SE to your PC, prog it for the metroid demo, the copied the correct .gba .sav files to your supercard.
Then you turned on ndsl w/ the superpass2 NOT inserted, ran the .gba file, then insereted the superpass 2 WITH the metroid demo (do you have to do this BEFORE TURNING OFF?)....

After, powercycled wthin 10 secs, and able to run DS games (NO MORE WHITESCREENS)

is this all correct??

Critical_Impact

If you mean the black superpass 2 that bends around the ds i've got one of those and i managed to flash my DS-Lite fine with it. I used Mario Kart and that worked

shynepo3

well, i switched to a metroid pinball game that i rented...was able to work with that!!!...but when i turn it off, i have to do the whole thing over......is this the case with the ds lites?  id ont' want to keep doing this procedure...but i don't want to flash it permanently cause i dont trust myself.   ANY ALTERNATIVES?  ANOTHER SUPERPASS 2 TYPE CARD?

ratx

I'm afraid thats a limitation of the Supercard ( No battery backed SRAM ). The newer mini SD model has a battery.

shynepo3

if i actually flash it ratx, i won't need a superpass nor a nds original game anymore correct?
