ive just resprayed my shell & brought it indoors this time ware its a bit warmer its cold & wet in my shed so thats why i think its gone dull
i might paint on the darma logo of lost

you might want to make a stencil if you want it to look good

just get a piece of cardboard, draw on the design, and cut out the pieces to make a stencil

Does anyone know where I can get the screws that will fit in my DS? any of them the tri wing or the regular ones?  mine are all striped because the screws arnt very good quality especialy the ones that came with my ds shell.  I have descided to go with the Ds logo the one wiht the two screens then DS

Yes, I too need to know where to get screws. I am down to two spares.
And that is a neat design, rocky. you should leave out the "DS" to where it is just 2 screens similar to the DS Lite

That would be REALLY cool! Spraypaint your shell Glossy black, and cut out the [] designs that you draw on your phat ds shell. Replace the cut with the Plastic, and put the blue LED's behind it. That would look really really cool!

I am working on mine right now and its turning out awsome.  I am not using a dremel because its not acurate enough.  I am using a soldering iron with a x-acto knife tip it works realy well.  I will order a acrilic sheet of clear plastic soon because the one I have is too thick. I will put blue leds in for the DS and the top screen will be green and bottom red.  Here is what it looks like right now.

now THAT is cool! I think it should all be blue LEDS, the top and bottom screen being green and red... that just screams Christmas, if you know what I mean. Blue all around would be coolio

Would you reccomend a soldering iron for triangles?

Well I dont know triangles are very easy its just a dremel is a little harder to keep under controll and if you slip you will ruin your whole case.  I think I can use my acrilic plastic its about 2 times the size of the case but it still fits when put together but if I push on the back it can pop out ill have to glue it

I practiced on a piece of plastic, and it turned out OK after it was sanded a bit

i think i will... you are right about the dremel

Yea a regular tip should work but it will take a while to melt the plastic.  I have cut out all of my things now I am to the hard part which is cutting the clear plastic so it fits and sanding all the parts. here is a picture I already have one plastic piece in the top screen cutout

I have a really really [really] messed up triangle on my ds shell

it could be recovered by cutting around it...
but im going to use my friends dremel for that.

actually at first i thought it would be easy, and rocky made it look more easy with his "x-acto" thing goin, and then i was stuck with an out of shape triangle, which i knew was beyond repair, so i made it into a rectangle

i have to find out some kind of design that goes with a rectangle

I have finished mine it was actualy easier than I thought it would be and it looks awsome.  I had a little trouble on the S but other than that it was super easy.  tomarrow I will work on the leads.  Here are a few pictures of how it looks now. click to enlarge
