Is my microsd card broken???

ok i put my microsd card into my sd reader. Then i plugged it in my usb on the computer. But it says nothing has been plugged in! Whats wrong?

Few things: Does your MicroSD still work with other devices (Supercard, whatever)? If it does, it's probably not the MicroSD card's fault

Check the connections: If you're SD reader is using a USB cable to connect to the computer, try using a different cable. Make sure it isn't the SD reader, try a different one if you have one. Make sure everything is plugged in, secured, etc. Also, try a different USB port on your computer, maybe one on the back.

Just suggestions.

try wiggling around the usb that helps me sometimes to get it to connect the right way.

ughh none of those things work so im gunna go exhcange my sd reader today and if it doestn work then ill email newegg about it and get a new one.

OMG!!! I just got back from super walmart and i exchanged my sd reader. i came back home and tested it to see if taht was the problem. It WASNT!! :evil: so now i have to email newegg and get a new one!!!

ummm someone i taled to tonite suggested that i should format my microsd card. WHat does that do?? And how would i go about doing that??

put it in a card reader and right click on it my computer and choose format, remember to format FAT (FAT16) NOT fat32.

It doestn work becasue it says to put a disk in the reader.

Ok, you'll need to first try this on another computer to make sure its not your drivers. Also see if you can get your hands on a phone or another device that supports the memory and try to format. Also try putting the memory into the SuperCard and doing the SuperCard self-test by holding r + l while booting up. Let me know if the sd test gets an ok? Let me know what happens...
