DeVS

My unit is turned off and AmRoD sent me a message and the dvd blue light is currently continuely glowing blue. SWEET stuff. Takes about 15min to sync up after adding people to your list.

Okay DeVS I am adding you right now.  My blue led does work when I email it and have it in sleep mode. it will light up by itself.  I thought they were going to have the light be on till you stick in your game that way you can see where the slot is in the dark.  I called Nintendo and the representative said that he thought it was going to be a feature but he didn't know if they removed it or not.

Kind of back on target: I went to Best Buy (Sunnyvale, CA) at 4:15 AM.  I knew I'd never be able to wake up, so I ended up staying up all night.  A nice guy at the front of the line made up a "sign-in sheet" with names and numbers that indicated that I was 38.  Not bad I thought, unless people were holding spots or hadn't signed the sheet.  The amount of people arriving was slow at first.  Nobody was behind me until about 5.

In any case, at about 7:45, Best Buy announced they had 45 units and 45 tickets.  (Later, an employee told me that bigger Best Buy stores got more units than this.)  When they started handing out tickets at 8, I got 42 (the Answer!!!) and the people I had been talking to got 43 and 44 and another guy behind us got 45.  There were at least 80 to 100 people in line who didn't make it.

I picked up the unit, Zelda, Trauma Center, and some gloves.  I was going to get Red Steel until I saw Gamespot's horrible review.  Looks like a Gamefly rental.

It was cold and exhausting, but also a heck of a lot of fun.  The people were really nice about holding places for bathroom breaks (Safeway open 24 hours across the street).

The worst part is that I haven't had a chance to set up the Wii yet!  I fell asleep when I got home.  Then I was out all day, went to bed, and now at work!  Hopefully tonight I can get it going.

Of all the games I got I think Super Monkey ball is the funnest.  I like how you tilt the controller to make it roll.  Wii sports is fun too but tennis is way better than any other of the minigames

Wow this guy had the same thing happen to him as I did, except he was wearing a wrist strap and it hit his tv and not his wall.

If you get these Wiimote grips they have for sale, they also come with straps that are reinforced.

On another note, I just got Monkey Ball and it's taking some getting used to with the Wiimote, seems I don't turn it enough to get around corners well, or I turn it too much. Then I bounce off the side and lose a life >_< But the 50 minigames is awesome for two player when my friends are sick of wii sports.

I actually think the wiimote is easier to control monkey ball.  its a lot funner than the old versions.

Ah, well, you may want to wait till I play more Monkey Ball and see which is better.

Guys all this talking about Red stel being bad...
I got it and and I am enjoying it very much.
True is doesn't feel very polished, and they could have tuned up the controls a bit more, but as it is(and I am about 60% of the game so far ) I can't stop playing it, for some reason.
Maybe I'm an old school, and it feels right for me, but the people giving a bad review based on the fact that characters speack with a Japanes accent( hell they ARE Japanese in the game and I wouldn't have it any other way !!) and that the visuals are not on par with next gen graphic , it seems a little biased to me.
I try not to look at it from a techicall point of view, and I find myself going back for more and more, expecially after a few hors of gameplay I got used to the aiming and unlocked more moves, it's a lot of fun.
I feel it's only fair to give it a try, not to boicot it because of a so-so review.

Yea I have both.  I like monkey ball alot more.  Trama center is a little hard becuase you have to remember all the stuff and it gets boring after a little while.  If I were you I would get monkey ball.
