Sure. First, boot it up on the NDS. Next, run an FTP app (I use FileZilla) on the PC.

FileZilla:

http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

When you boot up filezilla and you have your DS on and running DSFTP, you set to log in.

When you boot DSFTP, it gives you a username and password randomly. The username is "default" and password some random number/digit combo. Boot up filezilla and fill out the fields for username and password with these at the top of the screen.

Now on the bottom of the DSFTP screen you see your DS's IP address (ie: 198.xxx.xxx.xx). Copy that into the address box up top in Filezilla as well.

You are all set. Click "Quickconnect" in Filezilla and in a few seconds you will log in and see your card contents on your PC :) YOu can adjust a config file in DSFTP to allow you to change that default user/pass, but I just started simple to get you going right now.

Sure thing. I used it on my DSLink yesterday and it works like a champ. I was able to delete and upload files. Not super quick (40k a sec) but still very cool to use a DS Lite as a file server!

Follow the instructions EXACTLY. If the password is in uppercase/lowercase, copy it EXACTLY. It is case sensitive.

I followed everything, word by word. My password had no caps or anything. Everything is in order. Maybe its my ftp.conf? Could you paste your ftp.conf file? I don't think mine works. Thanks for the stuff by the way!

I did not change any config file at all. I just unzipped and copied the DSFTP files to my card, booted it up, ran filezilla and entered the information from DSFTP into the correct fields in filezilla and hit quickconnect. Not much else more to it. It just worked right off the bat.

Like I said, if the password HAS caps, you need to enter them. Say the password is 1MklRz6...or something. It has to be entered EXACTLY like that. You cannot see yourself entering the password in filezilla, but you MUST type that password exactly how it is.

The files I put into my root are: data/system/ftp.conf and data/system/logs/ftp.log and the DSFTP.nds file itself. Am I missing something?

I did not put anything on my card except for the .nds file :)

EDIT: sigh.... still no works...    oh well... Thanks for your time, mate!

What do you mean by "I can't connect"?  Is the .nds file unable to connect to the Internet?  Or are you simply not able to connect to your DS from your FTP client?

If it's the former, then it's a problem with the DS Wifi library.  Do you have an official game cartridge that uses the WFC so you can setup your wireless connection?

My DS seems to be unable to connect to my FTP client. It connects to DS WiFi flawlessly though.

So just to clarify, you see something like (may be more or less depending on your ftp.conf file):
QuoteServer running on port 21.
Screensaver:  30 seconds
Wake on Log:  OFF
Press A+B+X+Y for safe powerfoff.
and then an IP address at the bottom of the screen?

In your web browser, try typing "ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where you replace the Xs with the IP address your DS displays.  Do you get a login prompt?

I see exactly what you said on my DS top screen, except I only included the binary and not the config file, and my Wake on Log is ON. In my web browser, I typed in the ip address and there's a problem loading the page.
