I really don't know much about it, only what was on supercard.cn.  It seem you are a lot safer if you flash your card with flashme.

           well, it likely overwrote the unprotected memory of your DS. If you had installed flashme then the 4 button startup will rescue your DS with flashme on a flashcard, you will be able to reinstall the unprotected portion of the firmware...
           -
           this was planned for with the origional release of flashme, in the event a virus or big N did a firmware update, the 4 button (ABXY) will still run and launch flashme, which is why you"d need to short the SL1 in the first place, to install that 4 button rescue thing into the protected area of the memory.

                       thanks mithos, took me a while to find it again but here was Olimars info on it from the GBAdev thread:
                       "The firmware is modified to run a small boot stub left in the write protected area (low 64k) in case the rest of the firmware gets trashed. It will:
                       - Jump to GBA cart (0x80000C0) with ARM9 in standard passme loop if GBA gamecode (0x80000AC)="BOOT" or A+B+SELECT+START are held."

                       not sure why but I always thought that ABXY was the "emergency" escape sequence... glad I never actually needed to use it.

                                   You can only fix your DS if you already HAD FlashME on it.. If you did not hade FlashME on it its dead forever.

At least to majority of DS owners can fix it as we've all flashme'd our DS's but for the PSP owners it sucks, costs far more than the DS and noway to repair it  :lol:

People, the DS Homebrew comunity is small, and every one  knows everybody, so its good to check the forum www.gbadev.org, for new (good) homebrews and avoid this kind of think...

What the hell is a brick? The last time I checked they are made from sand and such. You don't "brick" you PSP or NDS! You simply fuck up it's FIRMWARE/BIOS. Don't throw them away! With a simple programmer you can restore them. I might buy one just for this purpose to make a few dollars .

It's not easy to flash a psp bios with a programmer, sony did a pretty good job protecting them if not there would have been downgrade sites all over the place selling 1.0/1.5 psp's that had been reflashed.   I'm not sure, but I bet it's not trivial to flash a ds either.   No they aren't bricks, but for your average user they might as well be bricks, boat anchors, or french birth control devices.

yup it was him ... and if you had a supercard in when you ran it, it's junk now

the gba & ds won't even see it as a card... it's totally blank and useless i guess (dunno how you could reflash it since the ds isn't even seeing it)

it's sad that this is going around, but it's even more sad that people are just downloading stuff willy nilly and using it even though it's not posted on an official site or anything.  It sucks but you kinda get what's coming to you, and should be a lesson not to fall for this kind of thing in the future.

look like  its ia fake ndsloader.bin  to append on homebrew and Demos..

Just download the ndsloader fom Flashme site..

and only use know homebrews!
