That's pretty much it, yeah.  The author of DSFTP will need to recompile with the newer wifilib for it to work for you.  There could be other issues that we haven't thought of, but for now I'm just going to consider the wifilib the problem.

I finally got this thing working :D

All I had to do was disable my firewall.... Yes, I'm a fool. Thanks for all the help guys!

Oh wow, can't believe I didn't think about that to begin with.

Instead of disabling your firewall, why don't you just let it allow all traffic from your DS's IP?  Or you could enable all traffic from your entire network (like from 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.255 for instance)?  It would be a bad idea to disable your firewall each time you want to run DSFTP.

Your network may not use the 192.168.1.* settings, so replace those with your own network's settings.

My network uses the 192.168.1.* settings, and I'm using a dynamic IP. Once again, DSFTP has failed me. I can't connect, even with my firewall off. I guess sometimes it connects and othertimes it dosent?

What are your WFC settings like?  Are they all automatic or is it manual?  If it's all automatic, change it to manual and insert the correct values from your router's administration page.  The DS's IP can be anything as long as it's on the same network, so for instance it could be 192.168.1.123 (my personal favorite).  The other settings you should get from your router's administration page.  For Linksys routers, the "Status" tab might have the IP addresses for your DNS servers.

I'm having the opposite problem on my SCDSOne.  All the networking stuff works, but when I try to create a directory with Filezilla the FTP server locks up and I lose my connection.  If I try to transfer a file I get 14.4 modem speeds of around 1k/sec.  This also happens on my G6 Lite.  I applied the appropriate DLDI patches to both carts.

Hey, I'm sorry for bumping this topic but when I attempted to run this, I came across the following error:

"Init file system" (well, not really an error.  That's the text at the bottom of the top screen)

Anyways, I'm very interested in using this yet I get that error. :(

Could somebody please help me?

Did you apply the appropriate DLDI patch for your cart?

Yeah, I downloaded the Supercard SD one and put it on there.

I'm using the latest version (v24), all I have in my root is DSftp.nds and nothing else.

Is that the problem?

dantheman

This probably won't work, but just in case it does, try patching the .ds.gba file instead of the .nds one.  I've had that work for me with Word Wrap.  When patching the .nds, it would boot but wouldn't load the wordlist from my card, while patching the .ds.gba worked fine.

That said though, DSFTP works fine on my Supercard miniSD by simply renaming from .ds.gba to .nds.  I might have used the Supercard Magic Homebrew Patcher though, but either way it should give the same result.

You may want to create the appropriate folders and config files as described on the DSFTP site.

It worked great, thank you!
