Quote from: "Nyutan"The Saver saves to the battery in the SCDSOne until you load another game then the battery saves to a .sav file.

the last version had save to SD, what ever happend to that, the skin file still has the option under cheat option but either it was taken out or the menu isnt big enough.. I dont like having to rely on the internal battery :/

Is ratx going to make an update on the scone skinner? cuz you can only customize both screens if the top screen is the game selection screen, I'd rather have the top screen as graphics (or the info boxes even) and use the bottom screen in PDA icon mode..

Er. Scratch that. It saves a temporary sav in the Shell folder called lastgame.sav but it won't merge to the normal .sav til you run another game.

the real time guide viewer seems to have some problems, i copy pasted a gamefaq into a text and then converted it, renamed it etc. Hit the hotkey and the reader shows up but the text is jibberish (its ascii) then when i return to the game the top screen is all glitched out till it refreshed the screen.  gotta play some more with this one :(

PWNED R4 !!! PWNED!

I have to agree. This is a fantastic release. Supercard does everything the R4 does and much more . . .

1) Runs clean dump ROMs with 100% compatibility
2) Runs all homebrew that supports DLDI
3) Can enable "In Game Reset" and other options without needing to manually patch ROMs
4) Built in screen brightness control
5) Runs well with most microSD memory (improved speed)
6) No noticeable slow down with games like Animal Crossing and Castlevania (using Kingston/Sandisk)
7) Fully skinnable moonshell OS (improved)
8 ) Supports GBA union (linking two DS+GBA ROMs)

Features R4 doesn't support  . . .

9) Moonshell built into the OS, play games, video and music directly
10) Run "clean dump" Opera Browser ROM perfectly using a slot2 Supercard as a RAM pack (no need to hack Opera)
11) Can launch GBA ROMs and homebrew directly from slot1, requires a slot2 Supercard inserted (nice feature for those who already own a slot2)
12) Boot slot2 directly from slot1 OS with L+B hot keys (very nice :) )
13) Built in Cheat and Guide system, with most cheats already included, supports dipstar and action replay .cht files
14) Supports on-the-fly cheat configuration, can exit game to the OS and make changes then continue game.

The ability to stop DS games during game play and then continue is a landmark achievement in the DS scene, and is a fine example of the talent, hard work, and dedication of Romman and the Supercard team. Well done. I predict SCDS1 will support RTS for DS games sometime in the near future.

NOTE: Romman and the Supercard team have released source code for the SCDS1 including code used to launch commercial ROMs from the Moonshell OS menu. This source code could be incorporated into DSOrganize and other homebrew. Thanks Romman.

(The only thing about R4 is that with less features it is simple to use, and a little cheaper.)

I really appreciate it for clarifying upon my rant bitblt, as I was mentally unstable at the time of posting that.

Regarding the moonshell code; it is a little upsetting how Moonshell wasn't updated to 1.6 or .7
I have  yet to try the guide feature. I will soon.

And speaking of multitasking with the DS... wasn't the DSXtreme suppose to do that with its 33mhz processor inside? Guess not! LOL pwned DSXtreme too!

Well . . . we can always download the latest Moonshell 1.71 and run it the old fashion way . . . manually like with R4 and other flash cards.

I tested this. My SC CF is broken, so I had to put the GBA rom onto my SCDS1. It loaded, switched to GBA mode and the game played. I was shocked. Gonna try out some more roms tonite but MarioKart Super Circuit works.

jmr

i think ill give that a go cause ive got a broken SCCF as well
do you still patch the gba rom with the SCCF patcher??

Supercard DS (One) has 100% compatibility without patching, always has. Don't confuse SCDS1 compatibility with slot2 Supercard compatibility. Only a few games exhibit slowdown issues and require patching when using slow ass microSD memory. This slowdown has been improved with the 2.0 update, and Castlevania and Animal Crossing work well with my Kingston and Sandisk. The fact is even R4 has slowdown running some games using slow microSD.

Nope, didnt have time to dl the software again. I just slapped the clean rom on there. It didnt save, prolly cuz I didnt patch, but it played.
