"- Still using the limited libFat, until DevKitPro r20 is out."

So I suppose it still doesn't work on SCL, right?

works with my SC SD and SClite (sans save).

DeVS

My SCL doesn't save. It says it saved but when I turn the unit off and back on the current and forecast data is gone.

Did you create a folder in the root of yous sd card called DSLiveWeather? If not you need to do it so it can save.

New release, especially for sclite owners, now saves for us!!!
QuoteOfficial Release (93%):
DSLiveWeather “Aperio“3
- v2 is built with DsWifi update 0.3b
- v3 is built to work with Supercard Lite.

Information:
DSLiveWeather is very complete. Eventhough the progress still states that it’s at 93%, all the features that I originally planned are already implemented. The remaining 7% are probably the WiFi Configuration that allows the user to catch weather information on-the-go (connect instantly with free hotspots).

Changes:
The latest version of Aperio, version 3, adds Supercard Lite support and fixes a small rendering glitch (thanks heyyouguys aka onekelly).

For those who haven't heard: when you save the Profiles (in the Settings tab), the units preference (F/C, miles/km..) is saved as well!

The ‘Updated x min ago’ actually works now. It shows exactly how old the information is. ;)

Summary of Features:
- View the current weather and weather forecast of all the locations supported by Weather.com.
- Configure/load and save 64 unique Location Profiles.
- Beautiful icons taken from Xbox Media Center Weather (with permission of course).
- Full touchscreen control, but also keycontrol.
- .. and much more for you to find out!

Installation Notes:
- Download DSLiveWeather.
- Copy it to your homebrew device.
- If your homebrew device supports FAT then DSLW can load and save location data known as Location Profiles and downloaded weather data, however, you have to create a directory named “DSLiveWeather” in the root directory.
- When you start up it’s important to see “DsWifi ready!” and “LibFat ready!”.
- If you see “DsWifi failed!” then report this as soon as possible.
- If you see “LibFat failed!” then check if your homebrew device is supported. If it’s any newer than Supercard Lite, you can expect failure.
- Press SELECT on each tab to see the Help message for that screen.

Known Bugs
- Some devices aren’t supported yet.
Please report any bugs that you find so I can remove them ASAP.

I get that error too. I can confirm the latest version works with SCCF, SCSD, and SC miniSD, although none can save profiles.

It does not work with DSLink.

popinadam

Here's my expierience with the new release.

SC SD: Toshiba and Dane-Elec Memory cards.

Displays forcasts and current weather perfectly. I just use my US zipcode.

Does not save profiles at all, I placed the DSLiveWeather folder in the same folder as the .nds file and also the root of my SD card just to see.
Tried saves in a other brand SD card directly from the root, no luck.

Mine saves perfectly on my supercard lite.  All I did was I put a folder named DSLiveWeather on the root of my card and ran the program.  it should work for you guys also

onekelly

I am able to save just like rocky with my sclite as well as my SC SD. The lack of folder may be the cause of no save. Also you need to press 'start' to save.

Were you talking about me? If so read my post again ...

Here's all that it says:
"DSLiveWeather (C) 2006
            Rick Wong, Lick/licklick

DsWifi ready!
LibFat failed...
Error loading profiles. (FAT)
Error loading reports. (FAT)
Error loading forecasts. (FAT)
Keys:  START = save.
         SELECT = view help.
Connecting to AP.. Success!
Connecting to DSLW Server..
Receiving cc 0..
Processing cc 0.. [474]
Error saving reports! (FAT)
Error saving profiles! (FAT)"

I can guarantee you 100% that there's an empty Folder named DSLiveWeather on the root directory of my memory card, along with the .nds file. I also tried the prog with my M3 Mini and got the same exact results.

popinadam, you have a folder dsliveweather without a ! at the end correct (it used need it, but no longer needed)? It looks as if the folder in the root dir is correct. And you are using the latest version? Were you able to save with any older versions? The .nds works in the root or folder, doesn't matter.

Sorry I am not more of a help.

I would recommend pm'ing lick on gbadev.org.

popinadam

Never used any previous version then the latest (DSLiveWeather “Aperio“3 ). So I dunno anything about a "!" at the end of the folder name. I'll talk with him then if no solutions pop up anytime soon.
