bitblt

I got my profiles to save.  My problem was I had 'DSLiveWeathe' instead of 'DSLiveWeather'.

onekelly

Bitblt, is that the gangsta spelling of it? word! LOL! I am glad it saved though.

Hopefully popinadam has a similar problem

popinadam

OK, found out some stuff.

Works on my SanDisk 2GB MiniSD Ultra II card, both save files. (Tested card in M3Mini and SC SD with MiniSD adapter)
Doesn't work on either my Toshiba 1GB SD or Dane-Elec 512MB SD. Any particular reason you can think of?

NDSLite (U): Jet Black - M3 Simply w/ 1GB Sandisk
Wii (U): 2GB Sandisk (Wii Edition) + Wiikey SD/AR

I am using both SC SD with a sandisk ultra II 1gig and in a SClite with a sandisk ultra II 1gig and both save. I cannot help with the other cards, and I assume they are formatted fat 16 with the write protect off (yeah I know, stupid suggestions). Another one if you have time, have you tried reformatting any of the cards that do not work. I have no reason for this only grabbing at straws for you.

i have a kingston 512 micro sd, and mine does not save in the SCL...

i have the DSLiveWeather folder in the root and everytime i press "start" its says "error saving profiles! (fat)"

(still wondering what rss==-1 means, i get that instead of the actual data -.-)

richardv

I was getting rss=-1 when my router was not allowing internet access to the DS. Make sure you can connect with another app like DSOrganize to check this.

liquidnitrogen

so.... what configurations to use to allow ds to connect to the net? -.- i just got it to connect to access point today....

(it does go to wifi games for nintendo though)

onekelly

Once in a while I also get that same error. It seems to happen when I am using my full dl bandwidth on something else and then try to connect.

liquidnitrogen, after you press the smiley face to get the connection (or x key) when it is connected you must press the green check (or a key). then you are golden. oh yeah, you must also press the green check for the forecasts as well.

liquidnitrogen

ok, i keep trying to connect to the DSLW server and it keeps giving me rss_fd == -1, my bandwidth is not used up, and i keep repeatedly connec tot he accesspoint and repeatedly hit the checkmark.

how do you let your ds online from the router? does the router block internet access to the ds?

and to check, i go onto ds organize for the irc feature - i can connect to the router but not connect to a server.... so i have concluded that the router is somehow not letting the ds go online? .... sigh

thanks for the help and responses thus far :) onekelly and richardv

Liquid, for me, i have my ds set up already with mario kart for wifi, at least that is all I thought you had to set up. so if I am right, that is what you need to set up (which is probably done.

For me I found it easier to hit the right trigger to get to currently then press x once. when that is a success press the a key once. That i feel helps with the touchscreen issues (or sensitivity).

dsliveweather server should be = lick.huuf.net
and file should be = weather/fetch2.php

A second ago i was having trouble connecting  but dl'ing something close to my full bandwidth (1.5meg connection) so I paused the dl and retried with no problems.

does this application only work for the US or will it work for other places, specifically the UK (hell we're almost part of the US now anyway).

It works for wherever. I am in the usa and have paris on it as well as the vatican city. Just follow the weather.com instructions in this thread towards the beginning.

hi onekelly
depsite entering the location code (UKXX0002), that I found on the weather.com web site), it still says location unknown. What am i doing wrong?

Tobster, did you enter the () with the number, it should be ukxxx0002 not parenthesis. I entered it and it work out fine. this may be a coincidence but at first i did not enter a profile name and it did not work. then i entered a name (just typed in uk) and it worked. I got Adingdon, UK for the city.

If you entered it correctly, reenter the info and save it (start key) and let me know what happens

no i didn't enter the () and i still can't get it work. on the top screen it does say error loading reports (FAT) & error loading forecasts (FAT). perhaps this is the problem?  Any suggestions???? P.S. I can't get any US location codes to work either.
