I'm having same issue with my miniSD, gets to 32%-33% and throws an error, I've tried everything, with passcard, without passcard, in gba mode in ds mode... same result each time.

sucks cus I'm in love with my SC

could this be an issue with newer SC's Ive had mine only a few weeks.

I noticed on one download site (not HERE) that the micro sd has a diff filename to the normal filename for the chinese download but in english it was linking to the same filename as the normal SD which would no doubt cause problems!! - make sure you trust where you're DL from.

Also was your card 162 before you ran the SCU for 163 ?

I did my CF New in GBA Mode, no problems, it does pause at 33%, 66% and 99% for 1 - 2 seconds but they always do this

didn't clear flash card, just made sure I removed the device safely in windows before removing it,

which type of chip do you have??? CB or MX?

duh i see it now, real big letters CB

The update seems to only work on MX chips.

Yeah, I hope so too. Mine is an MX, but I feel bad for the CB chips.

Mine was 162, in fact that was on it when I got it, I tried both the firmware files from the main site and from here, nether will work.

and now it wont let me flash it to 161 so im basicly stuck with a white screen now

I have a feeling that there is a checker that checks to see what kind of chip is on the card during that 33% hang. If the firmware thinks that it's a fake supercard, it trashes the firmware. That's why at 33%, the CB cards are dying and the MX cards sit there and hang for a little while.

I'm going to go try wifime and see if I can reflash my card.

There's a bunch of idiots thinking that me and everyone else having problems are lying. If I can get this to re-flash, i'm going to make a video that shows it working in 1.62 and bricking when trying to reflash.

Those having problems, where did you purchase the cards?

Also, could you have accidentally tried to load the wrong version of firmware (maybe the lite or CF instead of the SD)?

I have experience flashing other devices so thats not an issue with me. Seems we've narrowed it down to an issue with the chips, there being two versions CB and MX, CB having the error.

that is strange.  every supercard I've seen has MX.  

my supercard lite won't even upgrade (i just keep getting graphical glitches when I boot up with the update file in my microSD), but I'm not going to try until this whole "bricking" thing looks like it's being resolved.

I purchased it from realhotstuff.com

I triplechecked the files from the Lite, SD/miniSD and CF. I picked the right one and got it from the eng.supercard.cn site directly this morning.

Is your microSD card formatted with 64K clusters?  I got that error too but re-formatting it with a more standard cluster size fixed it.

Weird...  My Supercard SD only has a lattice chip, Hynix and no CB or MX anywhere to be found...  I'm not sure I'll risk updating to 1.63 yet

Okay well I can't get those wifime drivers to install with my linksys network adapter. I know it's the right version, but windows keeps telling me that the driver isn't suitable for the device... I wonder if there's a way to force it. I love XP and all, but I miss being able to control your hardware in the NT days

I was digging through my drawer and found my old EZFlash II card. I got the latest client, ran ndsloader and patched the flashmp.nds file. I got it loading, but if I try to swap the supercard, as soon as it's plugged in, the DS shuts off. Damn... so close

I guess i'll keep screwing with the wifime setup

well, if your supercard has only a lattice chip it's almost for sure a fake supercard..
